No pet shall be allowed to live on the premises by either owners or lessees unless first approved, in writing, by the Board of Directors on a case by case basis. In order to receive consideration for approval, Tropicana Club's Pet Application must be filled out and sent to the Board of Directors for review. This form can be found in our "Forms Center" under Tropicana Club Documents or just
click here. Residents may keep one (1) dog or one (1) cat as a household pet.
Such approval shall subsequently be withdrawn if, in the opinion of a majority of the Board of Directors, the animal has become a nuisance. If, after three complaints, the animal has, in the sole opinion of the Board of Directors, become a nuisance or an unreasonable disturbance or danger, written notice will be given to the Owner or other person responsible for the animal, and the animal shall be removed from the Association property within three (3) days.
Any resident claiming a service animal under the Fair Housing Act, or other similar law, shall provide the Association with prior notice and documentation to support the claim.
No animals of any kind, including any type of fish, shall be raised, bred, or kept on any portion of the Association property for commercial purposes.
Animals shall not be left unattended in screened lanais, patios, or balconies where their noise may bother others.
No animals shall be permitted in the pool area, leashed or unleashed.
Animal excrement shall be removed by Owners or handlers immediately.
Pet owners are responsible for any damage and/or injury caused by their pets. The owner shall immediately correct any damage caused by pets.
The Board of Directors has the authority and discretion to make exceptions to the limitations in this regulation in individual cases and to impose conditions concerning the exceptions. The granting of exceptions shall not be deemed to be a waiver of the right to enforce the restrictions in other cases.
The Owner of any animal shall indemnify and hold harmless the Association and its members, directors, and agents from any claims made against them as a result of the animal.
All pets must be registered and inoculated as required by law.
